Ringtons expand with convertion of a former sawmill in Midlothian

A leading home-delivery tea and coffee company have converted an old Midlothian sawmill to expand its doorstep service.

Ringtons have relocated its Edinburgh sales office to a new site in Dalhousie Business Park in Bonnyrigg.

The purpose-designed building features loading bays, a storage area and office space and will be home to the seven vans and ten employees.

The company has been operating its doorstep delivery service of tea, coffee, gifts and homeware in Scotland since 1968.

It now has around 5,000 customers in Edinburgh and the surrounding area and the 111-year-old company now has 19 UK-wide sales offices and over 240 vans that regularly deliver to 250,000 customers throughout the country.

Operations manager Stephen Killinger said the layout of the new office is based on one that has been successful at other sites.

He added: “We now also have the space and capacity to add another five vans to our business in the immediate future which will help us deliver our goods to even more households in Edinburgh and the surrounding area.”
