Hibs’ midfielder Scott Allan insisted that he is enjoying every minute of his second spell at Easter Road after yesterday’s 2-0 victory over Partick Thistle.

The on-loan Celtic player has won back the admiration of the supporters with some superb displays and the fans are praying that he will extend his stay in the summer.

Allan won the Championship Player of the Season in his last spell under Alan Stubbs before leaving for Celtic however things did not work out at Parkhead and he spent the first part of the season on loan with Dundee.

In January he was part of a three player move with Scott Bain moving to Celtic and Simon Murray moving to Dundee and the Hibs’ fans believe that they have the best of the deal as Allan has returned to the form he previously displayed.

With John McGinn likely to leave in the summer possibly along with Dylan McGeouch, Allan could be the main man in Hibs midfield next year.

After the game Allan told Cliff Pike from Hibernian TV: “I am just delighted to be playing good football surrounded by good players again and I am enjoying every minute of it.

“We saw the result earlier in the day (Motherwell 2-2 Rangers) and it was a massive boost but obviously we then had to go and get the three points.

“We kept going. They stuck to their shape which made it difficult for us at times but a clean sheet and two goals after the international break, we can’t complain. They went man for man all over the pitch and they made a few chances themselves but we were patient and got the goals. I think we are showing signs of a good character.

“We’ve had some really positive results since I came but we need to keep getting the points on the board and look up the table.

“We know this is a massive weeks for us. Hamilton will be here on Tuesday then Ross County and we are looking for six points from these two games.

“We know what we need to do and I’m sure the fans will be back out on Tuesday.”
