Hibs’ on-loan midfielder Scott Allan says that the atmosphere at Easter Road these days is ‘different class’ from top to bottom.

Not only is the first team fighting for second place but the Development side have completed a league and cup double and Allan believes that the feel good factor is ‘contagious’ amongst the players and supporters.

Allan opened the scoring against Kilmarnock on Saturday with a superb strike form an acute angle after a fantastic one-two with Florian Kamberi then repaid the Swiss striker by setting him up for the fourth goal with a slide-rule pass.

The game ended in a 5-3 victory for Hibs and many pundits have suggested that this was be most entertaining match of the season.

Allan previously won the Championship ‘Player of the Year’ award under Alan Stubbs before earning a big money move to Celtic and he reproduced that form since his return in the January window.

The supporters have once again taken him to their hearts and everyone is hoping that a permanent move can be agreed in the summer.

After the final whistle Allan spoke to Cliff Pike of Hibernian TV: “From top to bottom the atmosphere at the club has been different class since I got here. Even the young team have won the league and cup double which is a massive achievement in itself.

“It’s contagious throughout the club just now.

“It  was enjoyable to play in at times when we were winning. It was a proper game of football with both teams going at it and we got the three points which we set out to do and to get them any way possible, but to put on a show like that was a bonus.

“Fair play to Kilmarnock, they keep going. We knew they would ask us questions but we’ve got the three pints and five goals so we are very happy.

“We got to Aberdeen next week but to be fair I don’t think we fear anyone at this moment.

“I’ve been wanting to add more goals to my game and that’s two in the space of a month so long may it continue.”
