A 20-year-old man has been arrested and charged in connection with a serious assault in the Leith Links area which took place around 2.50pm on Tuesday 21 November on Wellington Place.
A 70-year-old man sustained a serious facial injury and was taken to the Edinburgh Royal Infirmary for treatment.
The accused is scheduled to appear at Edinburgh Sheriff Court on Tuesday 23 January.
