This weekend over 8,000 cocktail connoisseurs are expected to attend the biggest ever cocktail event in the city from 6-8 October 2017. So what do you need to know?

Who would be interested in going? You will be interested if you like a cocktail or want to learn more about them. But there are non-alcoholic cocktails on offer at most of the bars.

Where is it happening? Fifty of the capital’s top cocktail bars – including Harvey Nichols, Tigerlily, The Printing Press, and The Voodoo Rooms – are taking part in the event. Some of these bars are spaces which you can seldom get into….like the Boudoir at Brewhemia for example or Skybar where you get superb views.  A full list of bars is here.

How do you get a wristband? Wristbands (£6 or two for £11) are available at www.edinburghcocktailweekend.com and can then be collected from the Edinburgh Cocktail Weekend Hub at ANTA on George Street along with a free copy of the ECW Guide.  You can pick up your wristbands now.

What do you get for the money?  Wristbands give you exclusive access to signature cocktails for just £4 at 50 of the capital’s best cocktail bars. All cocktails are made with premium spirits and shaken, stirred and strained to perfection by the city’s top mixologists. You can order two cocktails at a time at any bar.

The bars have now released their signature cocktails and information can be found here.

Wristbands also give you the chance to attend free masterclasses & tastings, permit you entry to exclusive ECW pop-up spaces & events, get you fabulous perks around the city, and give you free entry to top late night venues. Spaces on these are limited and the final release will be made online on 3 October 2017.

You also get other perks with a wristband such as discounts on food and entry to late night venues. More here.
