The Arctic Circle Forum on Scotland and the New North will be held in Edinburgh on 19-21 November 2017 at Assembly Rooms. This is a spin off event from the Arctic Circle Assembly which the First Minister Nicola Sturgeon attended last week. She went to Iceland to highlight the importance of closer links with neighbouring northern countries – particularly around the issues of climate change and economic collaboration.
The First Minister gave a keynote address at the assembly, an international cooperation network focused on a sustainable future for the Arctic region. The annual international gathering is attended by more than 2000 participants from over 50 countries, including heads of state, politicians at all levels along with students, business leaders and environmentalists.
In Edinburgh the First Minister will again be one of the keynote speakers along with Olafur Ragnar Grimsson Chair of the Arctic Circle and former President of Iceland.
Tickets are £50 each and half price for students.
