Police are investigating following a series of break-ins in the Dalkeith area which happened overnight between Saturday and Sunday.
Six addresses were targeted by five male youths, including five in Saint Mary’s Court, Dalkeith, and one in St Andrew Street, Dalkeith.
The address in St Andrew Street is believed to have been broken into between 6pm on Saturday evening, and 12.20am on Sunday morning. Nothing was taken as a result of this break in.
The five addresses in Saint Mary’s Court were broken into between 2am and 6.30am on Sunday. A blue Audi A1 motor vehicle was taken from one of the addresses, along with a bike from another.
The five suspects then left the area in the Audi, which was eventually recovered on Sunday in Bogwood Road, Mayfield.
Police were contacted and are now appealing for information.
Detective Inspector Paul Batten of Dalkeith CID said, “These youths looked to steal high value items and succeeded.
“We are eager to trace them as soon as possible. I would ask anyone who was in the Dalkeith area over the weekend and saw either the suspects or the car described, to get in touch with us immediately.”
