TK Maxx opened a new city centre store on South St David Street last week with an opening ceremony conducted by the capital’s Lord Provost.

The idea of the new store is the same, but with the other outlets in the city sited in shopping centres, it is a slightly different offering for Edinburgh. This is the fifth store in the Edinburgh area. The no frills shop has many goods on sale at up to 60% less than traditional high street stores.
The opening ceremony attracted a number of shoppers who wanted to be first through the doors.
