If you see nothing else at the Fringe in 2016,  then go to see this. You will leave fascinated that so many words can be remembered by three women, and uplifted by the humour.

Fascinating Aida, Britain’s best-loved comedy cabaret trio, are back!  Dillie Keane, Adele Anderson and Liza Pulman are coming back together to the Edinburgh Fringe for seven nights only, with a selection of hot favourites from over 648 years of song, satire and hilarity.

Fascinating Aida - Back in the Saddle

The ladies are showing great form following their record-breaking Charm Offensive tour, three Olivier Award nominations and over 17 million YouTube hits for Cheap Flights (their infamous anthem to budget air travel).

Dillie Keane said, “Some years ago, Adèle and I realised that if Fascinating Aïda had any chance of keeping going, we needed to recruit a young soprano who could wheel us on stage if that should become necessary.  The delightful Liza Pulman was duly co-opted, and has proved equal to the task of both singing and nursing duties.  Meanwhile, we have been taking a break in order to test the resources of the NHS.  I am crumbling steadily, whilst Adèle has opted for the more dramatic route via the Big C, chemotherapy, major surgery and near death experiences.  However, it takes more than that to keep these old girls down and so we’re back with a selection of our favourite numbers and, who knows, a couple of new songs as well perhaps?   Catch us while you can – or rather, catch us while WE still can…””

Dillie founded Fascinating Aida in 1983 (and was joined by key writing partner Adèle Anderson in 1984) and since then the group has played in hundreds of theatres in the UK and Ireland, with London seasons at the Donmar Warehouse, Lyric Hammersmith, Piccadilly, Vaudeville, Garrick, Apollo and Comedy theatres and the Theatre Royal, Haymarket.

Despite being around since before the birth of the internet, Fascinating Aida has clocked up over 17 million views on YouTube and counting, and their videos have become viral phenomena multiple times.
