Edinburgh is going vintage with a dance from the 1930s called the Lindy Hop.
Swing dance is back in fashion. With tea dances, 1940s themed weekends, and hundreds of weekly classes held throughout the UK, the vintage dance is becoming one of the most popular ways of staying fit.
Edinbop, a community group which provides opportunities to swing dance in Edinburgh, offers weekly lessons in Lindy Hop, Balboa and Blues. To get more people on the dancefloor, Edinbop are holding a beginners weekend next month with a friendly afternoon tea dance: everyone is welcome!
The event will be held on Saturday 21 – Sunday 22 March, at the main swing dance venue in Edinburgh, the Counting House. See http://www.edinbop.co.uk for more details.
