Hibernian Ladies have signed Scotland players Chloe Arthur and Heather Richards from Celtic.
Chloe told the club website: She said: “I needed a new challenge and I felt that Hibs were the team to motivate and develop me.
“There were offers from other clubs but I never spoke to any of them; I knew from the moment I spoke to Chris that I wanted to come to Hibs.
“The club knows what it takes to be successful and I felt coming here, knowing so many of the girls from the national set-up, that it was the right environment for me to push on.
“I needed to get out of my comfort zone because I had been with Celtic for six years, which made it a hard decision to leave the club
“It’s a real bonus that Heather is joining Hibs at the same time because we are really good friends and know each other so well.”
Heather, who has played for Clyde, Motherwell, Rangers and Celtic told the club website: “I’m delighted to have signed for Hibs and I feel it is the right move for me at this point in my career.
“Like Chloe, I had offers from other clubs and it was a hard decision, but I know I’ve made the right choice to come here.
“This is a big year for me and the club. We want to put real pressure on City this season and challenge for the league and cup competitions.
“Having been in a few of the national training camps, I want to push on again and get more game time in the Scotland A squad.”
Manager Chris Roberts told the club website: “We are delighted to welcome Chloe and Heather to Hibernian Ladies.
“I’ve enjoyed watching their progress over recent years and look forward to working with them. Their talent will add to what is a very exciting group of players at the club.
“It’s testament to the club that we are able to attract players of Chloe and Heather’s quality.
“We also hope to help both players achieve a regular place in the Scotland National Team.”
