EdinReport ECvDS Wo-1

Edinburgh Capitals will be playing Dundee Stars away and home this weekend in a fairly rare double-header. The teams have met on seven occasions in the various leagues prior to this weekend, with the Stars ahead 6-1 in the victory count. With Edinburgh, more than likely, out of the play-offs, then they have nothing to lose and the team can let loose and, hopefully, give their frustrated, but loyal, fans something to cheer about. Dundee are in fifth place in the table with their play-off place secured, so you never know, although Edinburgh did win 3-2 the last time the teams met at Murrayfield.

On another note, the Capitals’ Assistant Coach, Scott Neil, wrote an open letter to the fans, in light of comments received, expressing his own disappointment with how the season has gone and has announced a Fans Forum for March where the season can be discussed further.

Saturday’s match is in Dundee at Dundee Ice Arena and e-tickets are available to purchase through the website, as are tickets from the Capitals website for the return match at Murrayfield on the Sunday. Both venues support ‘on the day’ purchase, but phoning ahead is recommended to check on availability.
