“Edinburgh’s Ruffians is the Best in Business”

Last night, the very best of British hairdressing business talent gathered at the Lancaster London Hotel to celebrate those who continually push the industry forward and Edinburgh’s Ruffians was named a winner at HJ’s British Hairdressing Business Awards. Collecting the award for Salon Design they were delighted to have been selected by a panel of respected business associates and industry leaders as the winner in their chosen discipline.

The black tie ceremony, which kick starts the hairdressing industry’s award season was hosted by HJ’s Publishing Director, Jayne Lewis-Orr and celebrity host Dave Berry. Jayne commented:-“The standard of entries this year was truly impressive and I know the judges had a tough job deciding the winners, but I am confident that through our strict and confidential process, the right salon rose to the top. Ruffians should be incredibly proud of their achievement.”

A Champagne reception and formal dinner preceded the awards ceremony and when announced as the 2013 British Hairdressing Business Awards Salon Design, Ruffians were invited to the stage to say a few words and collect their exclusive, British Hairdressing Business Awards trophy inlaid with 18ct gold.

Andrew Cannon of Ruffians said:- “We’re delighted and honoured to win such a prestigious national award, gaining recognition from the industry-leading judges is fantastic! Ruffians has been created for the men, by men, we have designed a barbershop that uses the heritage of barbering, with a modern and innovative industrial-style interior and first class service. We focus on the customer, their style, individually and personality to give them the haircuts, shaves, products and service they want and deserve. To do this we believed that we needed to create a space that was unique to our Ruffians personality and style – we feel we have created that exact environment and are proud that it has now won national praise at the British Hairdressing Business Awards.”
