UPDATE 5 April 2013 Mr Boomer has now been found safe and well.

Police in Edinburgh are appealing for information to help trace a 35-year-old man who has gone missing from his home in the North Bughtlin Bank area of the Capital.

James Boomer was last seen in the Leith Walk area yesterday afternoon 3 April 2013.  He has not been seen or heard from since.

He is described as 6ft tall, stocky build, with short brown hair.  He was last seen wearing blue jeans, a black ‘Iron Maiden’ T-shirt, and knee high leather biker boots. He usually wears sunglasses, and is known to wear a number of items of jewellery, including a silver chain style necklace, silver bracelet and numerous finger rings.

A Police Scotland spokesman said: -“James’s disappearance is out of character, and we are growing increasingly concerned for his safety.

“Anyone who has seen James since he went missing, or who has been in contact with him, should contact police immediately.

“Similarly, anyone else who knows of his whereabouts should also get in touch.”

Anyone with any information should contact Police Scotland on 101, or make an anonymous report through Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
