An accident at Roseburn yesterday involving a double decker bus and a bridge left a pensioner trapped on the upper deck. The BBC reports that the 74 year-old suffered facial injuries.

The Council’s Policy and Strategy Committee will meet tomorrow to discuss amongst other matters, the future of Inverleith Park.

Council tenants in the city are all invited to a conference this weekend when it is hoped that discussions will shape the city’s housing services.

Tonight the Gorgie/Dalry Community Council will meet at St Martin’s Church 232 Dalry Road at 7 p.m. This is where the Wheatfield Backgreen Association is located, winners of the Beautiful Scotland Flatted Community Class and a Gold Award too. The West End Community Council also meets tonight at 61 Melville Street, New Town and Broughton Community Council meet at Drummond Community High School and Craigleith/Blackhall Community Council meet at Stewart’s Melville College.

A new late night rail service from Edinburgh to Dunbar will commence on 17 December for a year’s pilot according to The Edinburgh Evening News. Good news for those living in East Lothian who want to stay in the city a little later around the festive season.
