The Borders Book Festival runs from 16-19 June 2011 in the Harmony Garden in Melrose. A day pass for 2 adults and up to 3 children costs £20, which seems good value when you see how much there is to see and do in the programme. You might have to be quick to get tickets but there is also a live feed to a video event in St Mary’s Melrose for those events which are already sold out.

These are the names of some of those taking part:- Sarah Brown, Mark Beaumont, James Douglas-Hamilton, John Byrne, Alexander McCall-Smith, Sally Magnusson and Barbara Dickson.

The winner of the Water Scott Prize will also receive their prize during the festival.
