The latest TNS-BMRB poll for STV shows that the Scottish Conservatives have increased their share of the vote from the previous poll at the end of March.

David McLetchie, Scottish Conservative Campaign Manager for the Scottish Parliament election, said:

“This is further proof that Annabel’s common sense approach and telling it like it is has been going down well on doorsteps across Scotland. Voters appreciate honesty, acknowledging we have been realistic about the challenges of today whilst being optimistic about tomorrow.

“They also know we have delivered for Scotland over the past four years and will deliver again over the next five years. Scotland needs someone to stand up to the excesses of nationalism and socialism and that someone is Annabel.

“We will be working tirelessly between now and the close of polls to persuade as many people as possible that more Scottish Conservative MSPs means more common sense and more delivery in the next parliament.

“Every voter in every seat in every region of Scotland can use the peach ballot paper to vote for Annabel and more common sense politics on May 5th.”

Welcoming the TNS-BRMB opinion poll conducted for stv to coincide with tonight’s Scottish Parliament election leaders’ debate, Scottish National Party Depute Leader and Deputy First Minister Nicola Sturgeon said:

“This is an excellent poll – it indicates that people want to re-elect theSNP Government and Alex Salmond for First Minister because they want to achieve the five-year Council Tax freeze, protection for Scotland’s health budget, and retention of the 1,000 additional police officers that the SNP have delivered.

“And if people want to re-elect the SNP Government and secure these vital policies, they must vote SNP on both the constituency and list ballots – it has to be ‘both votes SNP’ on Thursday.

“We are taking nothing for granted.  People support our record, team and vision for Scotland – many for the first time – and we will work harder than ever before to achieve the re-election of the SNP Government and Alex Salmond for First Minister on Thursday.”

According to the poll The Constituency vote predicts the folling results:-

SNP: 45% (37)
Lab: 27% (38)
Con: 15% (15)
Lib Dem: 10% (7)
