Top Scottish singer-songwriter Charlotte Gordon Cumming has announced that she will perform at a black tie event to mark the 21st anniversary of conservation charity Tusk Trust.

Charlotte and her band will share the spotlight at Dundas Castle on May 19 with comedy legend Rory Bremner, who will perform a cabaret on the night.

She will perform songs from her recently released album ‘The Brave Songs’, a collection of music inspired by best selling novel ‘The Brave’, penned by Charlotte’s husband Nicholas Evans.

The prestigious event could also be one of the first royal engagements of HRH Prince William and Kate Middleton after their wedding, which took place last week.

Charlotte commented: “This will be a performance to remember and it is a great honour not only to be included in the line-up but also, possibly having the rare honour of singing before Prince William and Kate Middleton.

“Tusk Trust is a fantastic charity and it is a privilege to be able to help raise vital funds to support its work through my singing, which is obviously something so very close to my heart.”

Tusk Trust is a dynamic UK based African Wildlife Trust, with over 17 years experience of conserving wildlife, promoting education and supporting community development programmes across Africa.
Supported by UK celebrities such as Rory Bremner, Ronnie Wood, Griff Rhys Jones, Joanna Lumley, Zoe Ball, Ben Fogle and Alistair McGowan, the charity’s work to deliver direct sustainable conservation has been widely covered on television and in the media.

HRH Prince William is Royal Patron and they presently have over 30 field projects spread across 17 countries.
