Pettycur Bay Holiday Park’s recent Charity Beetle Drive, held in aid of Macmillan Cancer Care, has raised £2,200 for the charity.
“We’re delighted with his total which has succeeded our expectations,” said Janet Murray, General Manager of the Kinghorn based Holiday Park.
“We would like to thank everyone who came along to this fun event.”
“Our next event supporting Macmillan, will be the UK wide Macmillan Coffee Morning, to be held in the Waterfront Bar, on September 26th. We’ve held one for the past two years. Again, this is open to all, it’s a community event, not just residents on the park,” said Janet. “We’ll have fresh tea, coffee and cordial on offer, with home baking on sale. Donations of home baked goods, are being sought, if anyone wishing to donate could email [email protected], that would be fantastic, so that space can be reserved on the table.”
“As we have said, we have held the Coffee Morning for the past two years, but this year we are giving an extra push to Macmillan, inspired by four members of our staff, and one ex- member, who took part in the Macmillan Mighty Hike in the Trossachs, on the 29th of August. It was a really tough challenge for which they trained hard. We are delighted to say that they all completed it, ” she said.
“Their money is still coming in, but we hope overall to be handing over nearly £5k to Macmillan this year.”
