Morton Fraser Chairman Linda Urquhart has been appointed to the Board of Scottish Enterprise by Enterprise Minister Jim Mather.
Commenting on her appointment, Linda said “I am delighted to be joining the Scottish Enterprise Board, and I look forward to making a contribution to their activities in helping to create a world-class business environment and supporting Scottish companies compete globally. I am very aware of the challenges facing businesses of all sizes and in all sectors in the current economic environment and the support of organisations such as Scottish Enterprise is especially valuable at this time.”
Linda has led Morton Fraser, for over 11 years, firstly as Chief Executive and now as Chairman. She is also Chairman of CBI Scotland, chairs the CBI Scotland Council and is a member of CBI Chairmen’s Committee, which takes the lead responsibility for setting the organisation’s position on policy matters. She is a member of the Prince’s Trust Scotland Development Board, and the Edinburgh Business Forum, and has held a number of non-executive Directorships.
