Organisers of Edinburgh’s Hogmanay 2010/11 have announced that indie legends The Charlatans will be performing alongside Edinburgh’s Hogmanay headliners Biffy Clyro at the Concert in the Gardens; the music and fireworks spectacular widely seen as one of the greatest celebrations of New Year in the world.

For more than two decades now, The Charlatans have been an inspirational force in British rock. Celebrating their twentieth anniversary in 2010, the band will end their celebration year with their Edinburgh’s Hogmanay debut, performing countless hits from their remarkable back catalogue of eleven studio albums. From the immortal strains of breakthrough hit ‘The Only One I Know’ to current album ‘Who We Touch’, the band remain as exciting and relevant now, as when they first broke through – if not, more so, as a new generation of young bands and fans today hail them as lifelong heroes.

The Charlatans and Concert in the Gardens host, BBC Radio presenter Vic Galloway, join headliners Biffy Clyro whose critically acclaimed album ‘Only Revolutions’ hailed as one of the finest albums of the year, has exceeded 300,000 sales in the UK alone and earned the band their first Platinum-selling album as well as their first Mercury Music nomination.

With special guest still to be announced to an already incredible line-up for the Concert in the Gardens tickets are going fast, with Enclosure Tickets for the event selling-out on the opening weekend, Gardens Tickets are still available at £35 (+ booking fee) through the official Edinburgh’s Hogmanay Box Office (details below).
Tickets are already on-sale for the city’s world famous Edinburgh’s Hogmanay Street Party featuring a feast of live music stages, DJ’s, giant screens and the spectacular Midnight Fireworks. Enquiries are already flooding in from people across Scotland, the UK and overseas keen to get their hands on one of the hottest New Year tickets in the world.
