Standard Life will publish their half year results on Wednesday.

On the same day (Wednesday) during The Festival there will be storytelling at The Fringe at The Storytelling Centre on the High Street. It starts at 7pm and the tickets are £4.00. More details here.

On 14th August The Book Festival opens and each day at 4.00 there will be a Story Shop. More details on the City of Literature website.

The National Museum of Scotland joins forces once again with Live Music Now Scotland to liven up your lunchtime.
Sit back and enjoy the music of some of Scotland’s most talented musicians – for free!

Drawing on the Lewis Chessmen for inspiration, the programme stretches from Norway to the shores of Lewis. From fiddles and flutes to ballads and brass, why not join us everyday during the festival for an uplifting lunchtime.

Each concert takes place at 12:45 and lasts 45 minutes, with the exception of the Fringe Finale, which takes place at 14:00 and lasts for 90 minutes. More details of this and many other events on the National Museum website.

At The Queen’s Hall there are four shows tonight including the delightfully named The Burns Unit at 7.30. This is an eight piece Scottish-Canadian band. You can get the full Festival brochure here.
