The East of Scotland cricket select took their annual match with West counterparts to the wire before losing out on the last delivery.

In a match reduced to 30 overs-a-side due to inclement weather the East batted first and made a notable 203-7 with Kash Hussein top scoring on 43 supported by Kaushik Suresh (29) and Nabkishore Pani (25).

However, despite best East efforts the West scrapped through on 204-3 with Sureesh, Euan Wrench and Nithin Lehka claiming a wicket apiece.
