Glasgow Tigers’ team manager, Cami Brown, believes his men need to find “something special” for the biggest week of the season so far, starting on Saturday night at Berwick (tapes up 7pm).
The Allied Vehicles Tigers face four vital meetings in seven days in the Cab Direct Championship, Berwick, then Oxford on Wednesday followed by Scunthorpe at Ashfield and away at Workington 24 hours later.
And Brown knows that they must deliver a couple of wins to ensure a play-off push. He said: “The boys will need to find something special and get a couple of big results.
“We’ve had a bit of a break from racing as a team and we need to come back firing on all cylinders. There’s no hiding place really.”
Berwick, he argued, is a tough place to go and he added: “They have Peter Kildemand back and have signed Jordan Jenkins (pictured), they look strong, but we have riders who track on Berwick really well and we are capable of getting the away win we need.”
Mario Hausl switches to Reserve and Sam Hagon at No2 and Brown admitted: “We really haven’t found our best form so far this season.
“I felt like we had a chance to get a result at Scunthorpe, but Chris (Harris) was unusually not on it at all.
“We were soundly beaten at Poole and that’s just not good enough. Chris was excellent, but the rest of the boys were not dialled in.
“The team just hasn’t clicked on the same night. That has to change now.”
