Edinburgh Tartan Parade has announced the identity of the Grand Marshal who will lead the Tartan Parade through the city on Saturday to Princes Street Gardens.
Commonwealth Games and European champion athlete, Eilish McColgan, will lead the expected 2,500 people who will take part in the parade through the Old Town.
Others taking part will include the Rt Hon Lord Provost, Robert Aldridge, TV star, Gail Porter and piper Louise Marshall.
The Tynecastle Community Youth Pipe Band will perform with many other international bands and Highland dancers.
The route steps off from the City Chambers at 1pm with a call to gather on the High Street from noon onwards. The parade will then follow the Royal Mile, Cockburn Street, Waverley Bridge, and East Princes Street Gardens to finish at the Scottish National Gallery. Registration is necessary to take part and registration has now closed, but it is free to watch.
