Hibs head coach David Gray says his players will go into tonight’s William Hill Premiership match against Motherwell in a good frame of mind.
It’s been a quick turnaround since Hibs win over Dundee on Saturday, though, with Gray and his staff having limited time on the training pitch.
Gray said: “The first focus has been recovering the players, that helps after a positive result and performance because players start to feel better about themselves quicker.
“We’ve not got a lot of time on the grass to prepare for Motherwell but it’s a game we’re looking forward to. We’re going into it in a good frame of mind, off the back of back-to-back wins and clean sheets.
“They’re in good form themselves, so we know it’ll be difficult, but we’re looking forward to it.”
Managed by Jens Berthel Askou, the Well have been in good form recently winning three out of their last four league outings.
“Motherwell have had a very good start to the season, and they got to a semi-final. A new manager came in and adopted a different style very quickly and got the players playing in a different style very quickly which shows he’s a very talented coach.
“We know what we face, the players know that, and we’re ready for that. We’re going into the game full of confidence and we want to impose ourselves on the game. The game plan is there to try and win the game.”
In terms of team news, Gray expects to have a similar squad available to him.
“It’s been a quick turnaround since Dundee, so we’re still fully assessing everyone after the weekend. There are no immediate concerns, just a few bumps and bruises.
“The only ones that are definitely out are Josh Campbell and Rudi Molotnikov. Miguel trained today, so we will see how he is, we’re still building him up from his illness.”
