Hibs fans are looking forward to seeing Marko Ivezić in action after illness prevented him featuring in the first team since his arrival.
The 24-year-old Ivezić has a wealth of top-level experience, having represented FK Voždovac and Holstein Kiel.
He arrived at Easter Road as Hibs eighth summer signing following a three-year spell in Kiel, during which he helped his side create history by reaching the German Bundesliga for the first time and made 71 appearances in all competitions.
German football journalist Niklas Heiden, who covers Holstein Kiel as a reporter for the Kieler Nachrichten, believes Ivezić is a shrewd piece of business for Hibs and hopes to see him flourish in the next chapter of his career in Scotland.
He said to hibernianfc.co.uk: “Marko Ivezić is a sturdy centre-back who stands out particularly for his good positioning and heading ability.
“He has always shown himself to be a loyal player in Kiel, handling the situation professionally even when he wasn’t seeing much playing time towards the end of his time at Holstein Kiel.
“Ivezić’s strengths lie particularly in building play with the ball, which, in my view, are best showcased in his role as a centre-back.
“He demonstrated this well, especially during the Bundesliga season, where he made 23 appearances, and although he was unfortunate not to have seen as much playing time recently due to stiff competition, I believe he will do well at Hibernian and will be suited to the Scottish Premiership.”
