Edinburgh Dog and Cat Home has launched a free online advice hub offering practical guidance for pet owners.
The resource covers categories including behaviour, training, diet, and health, and was created using the experience of the charity’s animal welfare team to address common queries.
The charity, which has been operating in the city for over 140 years, aims to support animals through every stage of their lives with the new online platform.
Owners can search for specific advice ranging from separation anxiety to recall training.
The hub also provides guidance on moving house with a cat, resource guarding, reactivity, and introducing a dog to new pets.
Further information on seasonal changes and the adoption process is also included, alongside tips for welcoming a new pet and helping them settle into a routine.
As the city’s main home for animals, the organisation stated that it provides far more than just a safe place to stay.
The new hub adds to its existing community services, which are designed to help keep more cats and dogs in loving homes rather than entering the shelter system.
