Deputy First Minister Kate Forbes and Acting Net Zero and Energy Secretary Gillian Martin will today publish the Green Industrial Strategy to make the most of the opportunities of a transition to net zero.

Announced as part of the Programme for Government, it details where the Scottish Government intends to focus its efforts and energy in the coming years.

Ms Forbes said:“The Green Industrial Strategy is about securing investment in every part of our country and ensuring our workforce shares in the benefits.

“By building on our strengths, and concentrating on opportunity areas that offer the greatest potential for green growth, we will make the maximum impact and provide certainty for businesses looking to invest and expand in Scotland.

“This strategy is a statement of focus and intent and will power progress on our priorities of growing the economy, eradicating child poverty, delivering quality public services and protecting the planet.”
