Police investigating a serious assault which took place in the city centre last month have made an arrest.
The incident took place on Frederick Street around 3.25am on Sunday 7 July 2024.
A 32-year-old man was taken to hospital for treatment following the attack.
Officers say that a 22-year-old man has now been arrested and charged and a report has been sent to the Procurator Fiscal.
A police spokesperson said: “A 22-year-old man has been arrested and charged in connection with a serious assault in Edinburgh on Sunday, 7 July 2024.
“The incident took place on Frederick Street, around 3.25am and a 32-year-old man was taken to hospital for treatment.
“He is due to appear at Edinburgh Sheriff Court on a later date.
“A report has been sent to the Procurator Fiscal.”
