A grenade was discovered in a garden in Comely Bank today, leading to a response from several emergency services.
The street was closed for a while while the device was retrieved, and bus services were diverted.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “All roads have reopened after the removal of an item of historical ordnance found on Comely Bank Road. The incident was reported around 3.15pm on Tuesday 2 July.
The item has been removed to be safely disposed of by Explosive Ordnance Disposal and there was no risk to the public.”
