Michael Davidson went to Fox Covert Primary School and thinks he has the edge as a local in this constituency.

He is a trade union representative and works in the renewable energy sector, seeing for himself how collective action can reap rewards.

With the Liberal Democrats hold on the west of Edinburgh he said the party now takes the area for granted using it as a political football.

He said: “The nature of the Liberal Democrats is that they are stuck on the sidelines, where it is easy for them to criticise the government and hold the government to account but can’t deliver people the way that somebody inside a Labour government could.”

Michael is driven a lot by energy and he said: “Being able to deliver on the cost of living cases and reducing energy bills, that’s something that I’m really passionate about.”
