Five individuals within the Police Scotland family have been recognised for exceptional and outstanding public service as part of the Queen’s Birthday Honours.

Recently retired Chief Superintendents Campbell Thomson and Hazel Hendren receive the Queen’s Police Service Medal (QPM), the highest honour awarded for policing service.

Special Constable Graham Wilson and Scottish Police College estates supervisor Tom Kenny receive British Empire Medals (BEMs).

Special Constable John Bullough, who is also Chairman of Scotland’s Charity Air Ambulance, receives an Order of the British Empire (MBE) for services to Emergency Healthcare in Scotland and to the community in Perth.

Chief Constable Iain Livingstone QPM said: “I am grateful for the dedication and commitment to public service from officers, staff, special constables and the wider police family, which takes place every day across Scotland.

“I give my heartfelt thanks for that work and my warmest congratulations to those recognised by Her Majesty the Queen.”
