Hibs Development Squad midfielder Josh Campbell has agreed a season-long loan deal with League Two Edinburgh City.
The 20-year-old will link up with former Hibs’ youth coach James McDonaugh, who is now in charge of The Citizens.
Sporting Director Graeme Mathie said: “It’s a great opportunity for Josh to be part of a team who will be vying for promotion this season.
“He’s well-known to James McDonaugh and his staff, so we have no doubt this will be a positive move for all parties.
“We’re delighted to have secured the loans for Connor and Jack.
“We’ve had a significant number of young players enjoy loan spells with Civil Service Strollers in the last few years and they’ve all benefited from the experience of playing in the Lowland League.
“I’d like to personally thank Gary Jardine for all the work he has done in developing the young players that have come his way.
“Looking back – even to his Edinburgh City days – he has undoubtedly played an important part in the development of a number of our young players, many of whom are in and around the first team squad.
“This is a great first step for Connor and Jack, to be playing in the Lowland League at such a young age, and they’ll undoubtedly benefit from the experience alongside their training programme at the Hibernian Training Centre.”
Edinburgh City manager James McDonaugh commented: “I am pleased to welcome Josh on loan from Hibs; he will being a lot of energy and versatility to the team. His signing is another positive from this transfer window.”
Meanwhile, striker Connor Young and centre-back Jack Brydon will both spend the season on loan with Lowland League Civil Service Strollers.
