Hibs’ Head Coach Jack Ross is hoping to repeat last weekend’s performance when they face champions Celtic at Parkhead on Sunday.

Hibs currently sit two points behind Neil Lennon’s men and three behind league leaders Rangers after an impressive start to the season.

Celtic struggled to get past Riga in the Europa League qualifiers on Thursday scoring a last minute goal but they always remain a threat, particularly in the east end of Glasgow.

Whilst Ross was happy with the 2-2 draw with Rangers but he continues to challenge everyone at the club to have ambition as they aim to finish as high up in the league as possible.

Speaking at the pre-match press conference yesterday, Ross said: “We spoke before last week’s game about going into a difficult challenge in a good frame of mine and all last Sunday has done is to keep us on the same pathway and same mindset.

“We know this is as tough a challenge as you can get going to play the champions away from home and we’ve not been perfect this season but we have been pretty good and we continued that last weekend.

“We challenge everyone at the club to have ambition and finish as high up the table as we can and to believe that we can compete against every team in the league.

“The players need to go an do it on the pitch and at they moment they are doing that.

“We’ve shown we can do it on a one off basis but what we have to do it show we can do it continually so this is another good test for us right away. I enjoyed last weekend, not just because we took something from the game. I think it was more the manner of the performance which was what I wanted from the players to show different parts of their game which they did.

“The challenge is to repeat that kind of performance on Sunday.”
