Police are appealing for the public’s assistance in tracing John Tant (23) who has been reported missing from the Royal Edinburgh Hospital.
He was last seen around 4.20pm yesterday afternoon in the Morningside Road area.
He is described as white, around 5 ft 6 ins tall, slim build with short light brown hair and facial hair. When last seen, he was wearing a navy jacket, cream zipped jumper, navy tracksuit bottoms and a grey beanie hat.
Inspector Keith Mailer, of Howdenhall Police Station, said: “We are very concerned for John’s safety and wellbeing.
“Our Officers have been carrying out extensive enquiries in a bid to trace him and I am now looking for assistance from the public.
“If you believe you have seen John, or have any information on his whereabouts, please contact Police Scotland on 101, quoting reference number 2446 of 25 September.”
John graduated from Telford College in 2010 with an HNC in Practical Journalism and since then he worked for the North Edinburgh News, The Southern Reporter, the Irish News Review and The Edinburgh Reporter. In addition he has been published in the Edinburgh Evening News and the Hibernian FC Programme.
