The Scottish FA President, Rod Petrie has returned to work after recovering from planned surgery.

The former Hibs’ chairman resumes his presidency having attended last week’s Joint Response Group meetings.

He said: “I would like to thank everybody who made contact, directly or indirectly, to pass on their good wishes for my recovery. The reality is while I have not felt ill, I did undergo a significant planned procedure.

“It has been five weeks since then, I am feeling fine and it’s now time for me to return.

“Special thanks should go to my Vice President, Mike Mulraney, who stepped in to cover for my absence including chairing the Scottish FA Annual General Meeting. Thanks also to my colleagues on the board for ensuring continuity in my absence.”
