Police are urging the public to be wary following reports of bogus workmen operating in Edinburgh.

Officers have now issued the following advice.

“”Be on guard if someone turns up unexpectedly as there are some unscrupulous individuals offering to sell goods or services.

Don’t be afraid to say no and don’t be embarrassed as genuine callers expect you to be careful. If you’re not sure, don’t answer the door and report the incident to police.
