Florian Kamberi has completed a permanent transfer to Swiss side St Gallen.
The 25-year-old striker moves for an undisclosed fee, with Hibs holding an interest in any future switch.
Neil Lennon signed Kamberi who initially arrived at Easter Road on loan from Grasshoppers after a successful trial in January 2018, scoring 30 goals in 84 appearances for the club.
His time in Edinburgh coincided with a first senior international call-up for Albania.
The form of Christian Doidge limited his first-team opportunities around the halfway point of last season and he spent the remainder of the campaign on loan with Rangers, with Greg Docherty moving in the other direction on a temporary basis.
His comments about it being a ‘dream move’ infuriated Hibs’ fans and his position at the club became untenable.
He returned to pre-season training with his team mates but did not feature in any bounce games and Head Coach Jack Ross made it plain that he was not in his long term plans.
Reports suggested that Rangers wanted him back on loan but the player wanted a full-time move.
A statement on the club website reads: “We wish Florian well for the future.”
