Edinburgh-based social enterprise GTS Solutions has been chosen by Historic Environment Scotland to provide protection at the Castle of Light winter spectacular.
For six weeks during the festive season beginning tomorrow 14 November 2019, Edinburgh Castle will treat guests to an evening of special animations never before seen in its 900 year history.
The city’s largest-ever light show is set to attract thousands of visitors to one of the country’s most iconic landmarks and GTS Solutions has been tasked with providing additional security through the period.
The company is the only social enterprise operating in private security in the UK and will be responsible for safety and security checks at the first event of its kind in the city.
Chris Thewlis, CEO, GTS Solutions CIC, said: “We already provide security to Historic Environment Scotland at some of the UK’s most visited attractions.
“This strengthens our working relationship with Historic Environment Scotland to deliver a safe and enjoyable visitor experience. We are honoured to be entrusted with the safety of people from all around the world who will be visiting this unique event in the run-up to Christmas.”
