Edinburgh College is putting on a Course Clearing Event this Thursday offering support and guidance to young people following SQA exam results day tomorrow.

The event is for anyone who has received their results to work out what they want to do next and discover the right college course for them.

The college’s funding, learning support and guidance teams will be on hand to provide students with advice, enrolment support and to help them make changes to existing applications. Fast track applications will be accepted on the day for the college’s clearing courses.

The event will run from 12noon – 4.00pm at the college’s Granton Campus, 350 West Granton Road, EH5 1QE on Thursday 8 August.

Those who plan to attend are advised to bring all qualification certificates, portfolios and examples of work with them to speed up any application processing.

Edinburgh College Principal Audrey Cumberford said: “Exam results day is an important day for so many people across the Scotland as it determines what the next step in their education or career journey will be.

“It’s vital that those receiving exam results are given support, should they need it, to ensure that they can make informed decisions about their futures.

“We have a wide range of courses available at the college and our curriculum teams will be on hand to advise students on the best options to help them achieve the future they want.

“We wish pupils and students across Scotland the very best of luck ahead of exam results day.”
