The Eric Liddell Centre, a registered care charity and major Edinburgh community hub announced support of £25,000 towards the services it offers to support vulnerable people throughout the city.
The funding has been provided by the Garfield Weston Foundation, an organisation who donates around £70 million to charities across the UK every year. The money will be used to support the Eric Liddell Centre’s continuing work with carers and people living with dementia.
Commenting on the funding, John MacMillan, Chief Executive of the Eric Liddell Centre said:“We are over the moon to have attracted support from the Garfield Weston Foundation. Dementia and carer support is a big part of the Centre’s activity across Edinburgh and through generous funding and donations we can continue to innovate within the services we provide.
“I look forward to developing an ongoing partnership with Garfield Weston and thank them for their support.
“We know from the feedback from those who use our services that every single penny makes a difference to the lives of people with dementia and their carers and that has to be a positive reflection of what the Eric Liddell Centre can do for local people.”
