A new show celebrating the life and music of legendary US singer/songwriter Paul Simon will be performed at this year’s Edinburgh Fringe.
Something About Simon stars Gary Edward Jones and will be showcased at the Assembly Rooms throughout August.
Hailing from Liverpool, Jones comes across as a natural storyteller, weaving together songs and stories tracing the sometimes-poignant moments in Paul Simon’s life and career that occasionally mirror his own.
Music highlights include classic ballads like The Sound of Silence, America, Kathy’s Song and Bridge Over Troubled Waters, to the more upbeat Me And Julio, 50 Ways To Leave Your Loverand Wristband.
Performer Gary Edward Jones commented: “We’ve received a wonderful response to announcing the show for Bolton that we just had to add more North West dates, and we’re excited now include Crewe and North Wales.
“This is a great opportunity to really showcase Something About Simon before taking the show to the Edinburgh Fringe – which promises to be an incredible experience.”
Something About Simon will be at the Assembly Rooms. 54 George Street, Edinburgh from 31 July to 26 August 2019. Tickets here:
