On Thursday the full council meets to discuss what they will spend around £1 billion on during the financial year 2019-20.

The draft budget plans are already on the table in the papers for Thursday’s meeting, but the administration is expected to publish an amendment to those by lunchtime tomorrow.

The council has conducted a consultation on the spending plans and has promised to listen to feedback from that. Whether that is enough to save Marketing Edinburgh is not yet clear.

Tonight the Green Group on The City of Edinburgh Council have issued social media videos containing their spending plans.

Gavin Corbett the Finance spokesman said : “This week is council budget week. It’s the single biggest decision the council has to make in the course of the year.

“Green councillors have some real priorities for this year’s budget.”
