Hibs twice came from behind to grab a share of the points against St Mirren at Easter Road tonight.

Neil Lennon made five changes to the starting XI that lost to Kilmarnock on Saturday, bringing in Marvin Bartley, Daryl Horgan, Lewis Stevenson Oli Shaw and Charalampos (Harry)Mavrias who was handed his debut.

The visitors took an early lead in spectacular fashion when Adam Hammill lobbed Adam Bogdan from his own half.

Hibs dominated possession for the remainder of the first half without creating any clear cut chances.

Shortly after the restart captain Bartley was replaced by Mark Milligan after picking up an injury.

Hibs equaliser in the 55th minutes when a quick throw-in released Martin Boyle whose low cross was fired home by Shaw from close range.

The supporters assumed that it was just a matter of time before Hibs added to their lead but Efe Ambrose headed a Hammill free kick past Bogdan to the delight of the travelling supporters.

Hibs pressed for an equaliser which arrived in the 72nd minutes when Steve Mallan’s corner was headed home by Ryan Porteous.

Despite late pressure the Saints held on to secure a point.

After the game Neil Lennon’s assistant Garry Parker told BBC Scotland: “No disrespect to St Mirren, we should be beating them.

“We’re playing without a couple of players that were not doing their jobs, not performing and letting us down. I’m not going to name names, they know themselves they are not contributing.

“They’ve just had a roasting and rightly so. We’ve got to think of our jobs as well the way things are going. It hurts. I’m hurting. It’s just not acceptable.”
