Tickets and supporter packages are now available for the RadioLollipop Edinburgh Fundraising Ball.

Following a year’s sabbatical, the event is back and is taking place on Friday 5th October at the Principal Edinburgh Charlotte Square hotel.

The dress code for the evening is black tie and we are delighted to announce that the theme is Arabian Nights.  It is set to be a fantastic night of dining, dancing and entertainment, celebrating the work of Radio Lollipop.

Radio Lollipop exists to provide care, comfort, play and entertainment to children in hospital. Whilst a child cannot say ‘no’ to receiving treatment they can have a voice and a choice through requesting songs and taking part in Radio Lollipop competitions, activities and radio shows.

Radio Lollipop is an international charity founded 39 years ago.  The service to children and young people is provided entirely by volunteers who have been specially selected and trained to make a child’s stay in hospital more fun and less frightening.  Radio Lollipop volunteers spend time with each and every child on the wards at the Royal Hospital for Sick Children in Edinburgh, providing interactive play as live radio shows are simultaneously presented.  The unique service has been available in Edinburgh since 1989 and continues to go from strength to strength.

The money raised at the event will secure the charity’s future for another year and will bring many more smiles to the faces of the children in hospital.
