Adam Brace claimed a double as Braehead Clan thrashed bottom club Edinburgh Capitals 6-1 at Murrayfield.

Craig Peacock opened the scoring on the power play after three minutes and Jacob Doty added a second 14 minutes later.

Capitals pulled a goal back through Ainars Podzins mid-way through the game.

But Ville Hamalainen made it 3-1 with less than two minutes left of the middle session.

And Clan claimed three more from Brendan Brooks and two from Brace as Clan won comfortably.

Elsewhere, Fife Flyers ended Dundee Stars’ play-off hopes with a 6-2 win at The Dundee Ice Arena with Chase Schaber netting a treble.
