Hearts have signed Danish winger Danny Amankwaa from FC Copenhagen on an 18-month deal.
The 23-year-old, once on Chelsea’s books, helped FC Copenhagen to win the Danish League title three times as well as three Danish Cups. Amankwaa has also played in the Uefa Champions League and Europa League.
The transfer is subject to Hearts receiving international clearance but Amankwaa can’t wait to get started. He told the official Hearts website:
“I’m very happy to be here and I can’t wait to play in front of these amazing fans that I’ve heard so much about.
“I would say I’m quite fast and skilful. I am fit and ready to play so hopefully the fans will quickly see what type of player I am.
“I’m an offensive player so hopefully I can contribute with assists and some goals as well.”
In other Hearts news it’s expected strikers Isma Goncalves and Cole Stockton will leave Tynecastle. Goncalves has been linked with a reported £500,000 move to Uzbekistan side Pakhtakor Tashkent while Stockton is poised to join English League Two side Carlisle United.
Finally, Hearts Ladbrokes Premiership fixture against Kilmarnock, due to be played at Tynecastle Park on Wednesday 28th February has been brought forward 24 hours to Tuesday 27th February.
