Edinburgh-based Lochend Boxing Club has agreed a 12-month sponsorship deal with a personal injury specialist.

This is the fourth year that Watermans Accident Claims and Care has supported the club.

And the link started with Watermans backing of Lewis Benson in the build-up the 2014 Commonwealth Games in Glasgow.

Josh Taylor, the WBC silver super lightweight champion, has also come through the amateur ranks at Lochend.

As well as training boxers, the club offers keep-fit sessions open to anyone and delivers several community initiatives to the area.

Terry McCormack, co-founder and coach at Lochend Boxing Club, said: “Watermans has helped provide a platform for talented boxers to develop through funding, kit and equipment, renovation works and trips abroad for promising fighters.

“Securing their support for another year will allow us to continue to develop local boxers and offer first-rate facilities to keep fit to the wider community.”
