Aaron Summers and Richie Worrall are the only two regular riders in Glasgow Tigers’ line-up for their Knockout Cup quarter-final, first-leg at home to Newcastle Diamonds on Friday.

Richard Lawson, Dan Bewley and Jack Smith have commitments elsewhere while Tom Perry and Nike Lunna are injured.

Team manager Stewart Dickson has called in Edinburgh Monarchs star Ricky Wells plus Kyle Newman, Richard Hall and Connor Coles to deputise and uses rider replacement for Bewley.

Skipper Summers is desperate to put the disappointment of Glasgow’s league play-off exit behind him.

And he insists the makeshift team will be up for a win to give them a chance in Monday’s return on Tyneside. Tapes go up at 7.30.
